Repower at a glance
Repower is an international energy company based in Switzerland. It operates along the entire value chain, from generation, trading, transmission and distribution to sales. In Italy Repower is also involved in the gas business. The group employs around 720 people.
Energy
In 2010 Repower sold more than 19.7 terawatt hours (TWh) of electricity. Trading accounted for around three quarters of this, and supply and sales for one quarter. Proprietary generation came to around 1,8 TWh in 2010. The group has its own generation assets in Switzerland (hydropower), Italy (combined-cycle gas power plant and wind power) and Germany (wind power). The Group's total gas turnover volume in distribution, trading and for operating the Teverola power plant amounted to around
450 million cubic meters in 2010.
Total operating revenue
In 2010 Repower posted total operating revenue of CHF 2.3 billion, up 16 per cent from the previous year. EBIT came to CHF 163 million, and group profits totalled CHF 80 million. Repower has very solid finances, with a balance sheet total of CHF 2.3 billion and equity of CHF 922 million.
