Repower at a glance
Repower is an international electricity company based in Switzerland. It operates along the entire value chain, from trading, generation, transmission and distribution to sales. The group employs more than 600 people.
Energy
In 2009 Repower sold more than 14 terawatt hours (TWh) of electricity. Trading accounted for around two thirds of this, and supply and sales one third. Proprietary generation came to around 1,8 TWh in 2009. The group has its own generation assets in Switzerland (hydropower), Italy (combined-cycle gas power plant and wind power) and Germany (wind power).
Total operating revenue
In 2009 Repower posted total operating revenue of CHF 1.96 billion, down 1 per cent from the previous year. EBIT came to CHF 137 million, and group profits totalled CHF 111 million. Repower has very solid finances, with a balance sheet total of CHF 2.4 billion and equity of CHF 912 million.
