Solid annual results with excellent Group profit
Repower closed 2009 with solid results, posting virtually unchanged total operating revenue of just under CHF 2 billion. While EBIT was below the prior-year level at CHF 137 million (- 26 %), Group profit ended the year at CHF 111 million (+ 18 %), the highest recorded in the history of the company.
The environment remained difficult in 2009, chiefly due to the economic downturn. In spite of volatile, depressed energy prices Repower succeeded in stepping up its international trading activities and expanding trading in gas and emission certificates.
