«ok power» uses hydropower from new or refurbished plants in accordance with criteria laid down by Energievision e.V., an association that aims to promote sustainability and market transparency in the energy industry.

The «ok power» label provides an incentive to build new generation facilities. Under this label, at least 33 per cent of the electricity must come from assets no more than 6 years old, and a further 33 per cent must come from assets that are no more than 12 years old.
