In its mission statement, Repower undertakes to act responsibly vis-à-vis the environment. The concrete measures in place in line with this principle include strict environment and safety guidelines.

Safety and environmental management

In 2005 Repower in Switzerland had its environmental management certified for the first time. In 2008 it also introduced a certified workplace safety management system. Both these systems were up for recertification in 2017, and the company also had its generation and grid quality management systems certified for the first time. Repower gained the following certifications in 2017:

  • Occupational health and safety management system in accordance with BS OHSAS 18001:2007
  • Environmental management system in accordance with SN EN ISO 14001:2015
  • Quality management system in accordance with SN EN ISO 9001:2015

We are aware that any business activity, product or service has an impact on the interested parties and the environment. We live by an integrated management system (IMS) to improve health, safety and the environment and the quality of our products and services on an ongoing basis.

Repower complies with the provisions of the law and keeps close track of upcoming changes in the relevant legislation.

We have a policy of open communication, and want be a leader in our industry in terms of health, safety and the environment and the quality of our products and services.

  • We work to ensure the safety of visitors, employees and customers in our operations. This includes providing appropriate tools and equipment.
  • We make sure our staff act responsibly in terms of health, safety and the environment by raising their awareness and providing them with training appropriate to their job.
  • Our business revolves around our customers. They set the benchmark for the quality of our products and services.

Operations and materials management

  • We endeavour to plan projects, maintenance and operating procedures to minimise the negative impact on our staff and the environment.
  • We select tools and resources taking account of the entire life cycle.
